Everyone is welcome to become part of the Adelaide Bowling Club.

Joining as a member of the Adelaide Bowling Club is easy.

When you become a member of the club, you’ll enjoy year-round bowling, either socially or as a team, members-only functions and food and drink specials.

Becoming a member has plenty of benefits, including:

All members can attend the club at any time, enjoy fantastic drink prices throughout the year and attend members-only events.
Full members have the opportunity to compete at a higher standard, at different clubs and competitions in the league. They also earn an official affiliation with Bowls South Australia and can vote at the Annual AGM of the Adelaide Bowling Club.

Associate Members can play bowls at the Adelaide Bowling Club at any time during the year but do not have access to the higher level competitions and cannot vote at the Annual AGM.
Night Owlers can attend the club at any time during the year but cannot bowl or vote at the Annual AGM.

New Full Member Clearance and Application Process

1. If you are a Member of another Bowling Club (local or interstate), complete Clearance Payment form Online on the Bowls SA website

2. Complete CLEARANCE FORM APPLICATION CHECKLIST

3. Fill out Clearance form and get your current club to sign

4. Email filled out Clearance form to the Adelaide Bowling Club admin@adelaidebowlingclub.com.au

5. Once completed, email Clearance form to reception@bowlssa.com.au

6. Complete the Adelaide Bowling Club Membership form below and Pay

7. All new member applications need

Proposal by a full member of the Adelaide Bowling Club
Seconded by a full member of the Adelaide Bowling Club
Approval from our Board who meet once a month.

8. When your application has been approved, we will be in contact (if rejected you will be issued a refund)

9. Drop into the Club for unforms and meet our friendly staff

ADELAIDE BOWLING CLUB - CODE OF CONDUCT
Being a member of the Adelaide Bowling Club entitles you to certain rights and responsibilities, as it
does other members, guests, visitors and the club overall. Members of, and visitors to, the Adelaide
Bowling Club are required, under this Code of Conduct, to behave at all times in a way which upholds
the values and good reputation of the Adelaide Bowling Club.
The Code of Conduct
Members and Visitors have a right to:
 be treated equitably and with respect;
 participate in an environment free from all forms of harassment and discrimination;
 have their privacy and confidentiality treated lawfully and with respect; and
 submit their views to the President or any member of the Board of Management provided this
is done appropriately and respectfully.
Members of and visitors to the Adelaide Bowling Club must:
 behave honestly and with integrity;
 treat everyone with respect, courtesy and without harassment;
 comply with the rules and follow all safety requirements and practices of the Adelaide Bowling
Club,
 not breach State and Commonwealth laws;
 behave responsibly and not motivate or incite any person/s to do or feel something
unpleasant or violent;
 not discriminate against any person;
 refrain from behaviour that could offend or embarrass others;
 not physically or verbally harass others (includes fight, argue, ridicule, threaten, stalk etc.).
 comply with any lawful and reasonable direction given by someone who has authority to give
the direction;
 maintain appropriate confidentiality about dealings that any person has with the Adelaide
Bowling Club;
 use Adelaide Bowling Club resources in a proper manner;
 not damage, steal or misuse property belonging to, or in the possession of, the Adelaide
Bowling Club;
 not carry any offensive weapon/s;
 not use offensive language or gestures;
 not provide false or misleading information in response to a request for information that is
made for official purposes in connection with the Adelaide Bowling Club;
 not use illicit drugs; and
 at all times behave in a way that upholds the good reputation of the Adelaide Bowling Club;
Breaches of the Code of Conduct – reporting and resolution.
Breaches of the Code of Conduct are to be reported to any member of the Board of Management.
Any breach of the Code of Conduct will be resolved calmly, with honesty, dignity, and as far as
possible confidentiality will be maintained. Where and when required the Adelaide Bowling Club,
through its Board of Management, reserves the right to make decisions and enforce fair and
appropriate measures to resolve a breach of the Code of Conduct. Any reported breach of the Code
of Conduct will be investigated, discussed and dealt with by the Board of Management by imposing
either a reprimand, suspension, or revoking of club membership, or, in the case of non-club members,
banning from the club for a set period of time or for life. Any breach of State or Commonwealth law
shall be referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
